A Poem by rutherford

I pay
five dollars
to watch
everyone
turn poor
I want
my money
back.

Rutherford - Incline to say the least amount of words to get the point across...Good to read your work…Thanks for the invite to read your thoughts to paper at Writers Café...I'm back to work with copy writer and doing my best to write 1000 words a day...and a subject you do not get to choose...will be busy the next few months...so I will read all RR"s might just take a bit longer to get a review...hope you understand...plus promote my book: The Onyx - Vena Amoris...for late next month release…I have very little time on my hands…making the most of everyday and taking today to read as many as I can…keep writing and sharing your creative talent here and elsewhere…

Thanks for making me laugh. ;) However, right after the laughter died down, I was impressed by the depth of the message. Very insightful. Wonderful, Rutherford. You have said so much in few words. :)

And around the cycle would go... great piece of irony here, John.

Please tell me what you can get for five dollars these days! Your friend in words, Pete

This for some reason this reminds me of the familiar wisdoms of Mark Twain.

Loved the irony in this piece. Sort of a reverse Aladdin and his three wishes. Well-done.

Fascinating interpretation. Thanks for the praise.
Oh, there's irony there... that's for sure; but more to the point a certain pungent aroma that the mental nose oft mistakes for smoke and thus for fire. Rutherford, I think the wealth of nations may... [fill in the blanks] ...for the likes of word dabblers or coffee house orators. I'm giving this a 42. Not because it doesn't deserve something better but rather because I simply had the urge to contemplate the meaning of life, the universe and everything for one brief moment while staring at that empty Rating box. Actually, 42 is the best possible score one can get I think. I'd love to get a couple of 42s then I could, perhaps, grab my towel and journey a bit with Douggie. [P.S. I gave it a 100 just to keep the system happy.]
