Less signaling, more lane changing

More security, less common sense

More fashion, less beauty

More updates, less living

More diets, more fructose, more obesity

More special, limited, collectors editions, fewer editions

More 24/7 customer service, less service

followed by “Like Us,” “Tweet Us” and
“your call is very important to us”

Five belt loops instead of seven (and I used to respect Levi’s)

More information, less knowledge

More grievances, too few compliments.

I'm with you on all of these. You are probably bombarded more by these than I am living in such a bustle place. One thing I'm happy about is leaving the big city. Love visiting Boston and New York but they make me realize how much I love the slowness of the rural south.

Good write. It also reflects how corrupted our world is nowadays. Somehow this poem reminds me of "Paradox of Time."

R...kind of enjoyed this...repetition doesn't always work in poetry but the 'more...less' constructions in this one do, I think. Many of these 'grievances' made me smile in agreement...thanx...bobc
