Some see a surrogate
     to existence
Intimate ever
     present confidant
Mini-god that knows:
      family
      friends
      habits
      diversions
      location (at all times)
A golden ratio of handheld perfection:
      iPhone, therefore I am.

I could do without all this technology. I have a phone that does one amazing thing. It calls people. Sad days are upon us when our youth can text like lightning, play multiple video games, and keep up with all the social media, but they walk into walls while looking down at their hands and half of them can't pen a proper letter. Gaa. Don't get me started. Angi~

Angi, thanks for the review. Technology has intersected our lives in so many ways I've been thinking its time for me to address it in poems just like love, loss God and the everyday. I'm intrigued by the digital romantics as well as the digital curmudgeons. One immediate benefit is that we get to share poems and expression with each other on this site. Cheers.

Thanks--the new iPhone now have a biometric feature that requires you to touch for a fingerprint. I also saw an episode of Big Bang where one of the characters tries to have a relationship with Siri. Seems like we are becoming more intimate with our devices.

We use technology to created extensions to the human brain. This is somewhat like a tail being an extension of a dog. The problem is that over time 'the tail begins to wag the dog'. We lose control of the things that we create at our peril.
