Intoxicating Desire

fear of the unknown as two souls become one

Look deep into her eyes

When that moment comes

The two are becoming one

Taking it to another level

 

Once tasted of the honey

It will become intoxicating

That moment, never the same

You will find it fixating

 

As it continues to enfold

Fear may set in, as you soar

Are you willing to take that step?

You will come back for more

 

Many have never tasted

Or stepped into the mind.

Where two can live their dream

You will be shocked to find

'Taking it to another level' ... I recognise and like this awareness of how important commitment is, in most of the things we value. And yes things may become intoxicating, as you say, which can be good and bad. But, as you say in the last verse, many never find out and it is their loss.

hmmmm...Sometimes 2 souls do become one. I like the flow in this piece. The emotion and love is expressed well. I like that you didn't rhyme the whole poem.
