The third stanza I think really puts it into perspective. It's as though if we read between the lines we discover the other you who made the mistakes you intend to make (Wanting to unchain to have new adventures maybe my wild side) and stopping, knowing the danger it would bring this new entity of your being.
Hope I explained that right? Anyway, a really good poem. I liked it.
"Who am I?" - one great question that has always been asked but never really been found an answer to.
The thing is, nobody really KNOWS who they are consciously, even if as certainly no one has any trouble BEING him- or herself.
Then again, I doubt there is anyone who likes oneself the exact way they are, with all the good and bad parts, so it becomes even harder to indulge in thourough self-reflection.
I liked your reflection on this search of who you really are. Never forget to just BE.
Fascinating, thoughtful poem, brilliant job!
Fear suddenly takes hold
I quickly avert away
Not wanting to connect
To the innermost, the soul
You need to be brave , its not easy .... let me know when you start your Journey ... I will be here to give you a hand

I like this as I'm reminded so much of you and your friendship. There are questions here that I often asked myself as we chatted wondering/worrying about the different scenarios you were in. The perception of self is very therapeutic and once written down can help in discovering the real you, both for the writer and reader. This is a tempting insight...
