Friendship shattered and broken !!A Poem by Bewitching Sensationsmy shattered friendship.. wrote years ago nowI remember how we used to laugh How we shared our secrets Always there for each other Opening our hearts measureless
God could we shop till we drop Same perceptions, refinements You was my devoted friend Do you remember the pushchairs?
You would buy one after the other Always changing them endlessly I loved you for being you though Accepting each other frailty
Then your marriage turned I was there for you always Every hour of the day or night He treats you like the dregs
As the drugs took hold of him Things went fast downhill You were forsaken, shattered Think back, I relinquished all
Then that fateful night, God what a night If only we could turn back time You called me a wreck, distressed Needing him home you was so ill
So I went searching for him, I had enough of his horse play I found him, got him in the car And took him for a drive
Only to chat, then bring him home I came home later bruised, wounded Tear stained, shocked, numb I did implore and say no, please no.
I called you straight away Told you the truth, dear friend What did you do? Stand by me? No I was the w***e wasn’t I !
Even my own husband turned on me Devastation is the wrong word Betrayal still wrong word But you my confidant why?
All turned against me, But you out of everyone You knew he was dangerous But didn’t believe my words
How could you, now my enemy A death took place that night I died inside, betrayed and beaten Every part of my screaming No!
My husband kept telling me Leave, Leave go with him I wanted protection, a cuddle I needed a friend, so abandoned © 2012 Bewitching SensationsReviews
