Oh that hurt to read.It is a truth that men in general have lost all sense of what is right and just.Shaming their own character for the few moments of pleasure they can grab. One love is enough at anytime and it is special because it is held above all others .
Great write about a passion that sometimes never dies... though the love has faded. Hard to move on at times. You expressed this as well as I've ever seen, I think.
(Elvis was a good pick here, too!)
A line is drawn on the sand of a lusting voice, she fills his ears, pours more on his fire, but the truth won't let go, all she had to say was no, but from her gut with a growl, like move another inch and I'll blast a hole through your crotch .Not just NO, Hell NO.
For me one of your best poems if not thee best. It grabs you straight away, its tense almost agonizing and doesn't let up at all. This also is more subtle than your other pieces not so anger filled, this one almost shows an acceptance of a learned experience. A healing or moving on if you like.
