White pony

White pony

A Poem by Rusty

There was no white pony
No need to scale walls
No dragons breathing vengance
No tyrant in the halls

There wasn't any war
No ships to lay siege
No witches steaming caldron
No handsome faithful liege

No triumphant fateful battle
No hairy monster mess
No long rides in the saddle
No never ending quest

No longer does it matter
Because its no longer real
Our fairy tale ended

.... but trust this

Our fair tale was real.

I could feel this to my bones.. Sometimes people can walk away and not look back.. Maybe it wasn't real to them. .but it is and or was real to you.. Again... great ink..:)

is the last line not supposed to say fairy?
for some reason, my favorite part is where you demand trust.
this has inspired me.
thanks! haha.

What a cracking poem... or possibly a song. I really don't know. The beat and flow are so good. I loved it. Some truly class work here that just leaps off the page and begs to be re-read

Thanks.
This reminds me of two old folk songs--"Puff the Magic Dragon", and "Autumn to May", both of which tell a similar story. You've got some great lines, here, and the rhymes are magnificent.
