Summer's FareA Poem by Rusty
A light air twists her hair
Ambiance of fate as she catches eyes Each benevolent gaze through her form silhouetted in summer dress It's all good Splendid plump fruit ready on the vine Juices flow at the very first bite Redolent kisses at the nectar within It's all good Pottery vases easily broke First by a mistress then by a bloke Timing interrupted right in mid stroke It's all good Rippling muscles taught and stubbled rough chin Sweat glistens in sunshine as his workday nears end A well kept woman offers a grin It's all good Feverish lovers uncovered in night The heat of the evening the pain of delight The passion ended yet holding on tight It's all good The lonely romancer conjuring words Continued advances that never are heard Nighttime his capsule where no heart is stirred It's all good Was it better in history when lovers must wait For ships from far coasts delivered letters of fate Instead if live wires instantaneous fear It's all good Brilliant hot embers caressing the mind This season shall end and with it our time Returning to dirt whats yours and what's mine It's all good But tonight like the flowers lets grow from this earth Join me in laughter eschew the dearth No fuel for that fire the pyre must wait Its all good No funeral tonight as we cast about words Flaming desire and hoping for gold The summer of love upon us witness it's touch It's all good A light air twists her hairAmbiance of fate as she catches eyes Each benevolent gaze through her form silhouetted in summer dress It's all good
