Satin sheets of emotion

Satin sheets of emotion

A Poem by Rusty
"

Just a beginning

"
Satin waves of emotion flow across the miles
The tempest turns in the winds of the heart
Losing what was found and finding what's lost
On this sea of hope tonight

Her words crease his soul with their weight
His epistle finding its mark like an arrow
The cancer is cured as they transplant the marrow
Saturated through the bone of hopeful tomorrow

Eschewing the lust for things of more substance
Written in dust with the upmost intention
To fall together in sublime night
Knowing the union is sure to be right

Exhaling their breath the lovers are sure
Though not quite saints heaven is near
Prolonging the moment making time seem to still
Hearts beat in union with so much to feel

Fear hides its ugly head in the corners
Whispering doubt at the two lovers
Fear's fear is that doubt would cease to exist
For when they doubt Fear feeds on their flesh

But this night Fear hungers as they doubt no more
Love shines its light as Fear flees through the door
Enamoured in rapture forgetting where one ends
They find that together is where they truly begin

As he swells to the moment she swallows him whole
Her surrender complete as his offers his sword
She buries his sword complete to the hilt
A perfect union to which the stars tilt

So surrender your love as I offer my sword
Let's conquer fear and give it no quarter
The course ours to chart to lose or to win
Open the door let love and hope in

Leave fate in the hallway
Fear's welcome no more
Feed love from our pantry
Let hope guard the door

As fingertips guide to the heavenly bliss
Let lips linger in succulent kiss
Knowing no boundary as spirits explore
Bodies complete never knowing before

Tonight bringing something
So often missed
Tracing our souls
In spiritual mist

We've found it together
In beauty let's play
Anxious for night
Regretting the day

The only regret
To know anymore
Was the way that we lived
Not knowing before

Satin sheets of emotion
Truly exist
Across oceans of time and distance
Anticipating the first moment we kiss

It rather was. Excellent observation. As I stated a beginning.

"Her words crease his soul with their weight" is a beautiful textile image. Last stanza sounds forced only because of the squeezing in to make it rhyme.
