I once wanted to teach a girl to ski.

 

But she was faster than me.

 

Hit a bump tumbled through the air.

 

It was all downhill from there.

This is funny. I actually enjoy poems that are short, well-written, easy-to-understand and lyrical. In four short lines you paint a clear image and describe action and intention. Large, convoluted poems that make us think have their place. To me, poems and stories are entertainment. If I have to struggle and if the theme is dark or negative, I'm not going to enjoy it. Well done.
