Clouds of Night

Clouds of Night

A Poem by Rusty
"

just a lil notion borne of the day

"

The clouds of night spark lightning

Scorched earth smolders bare

Hearts-a-fire bear witness

To the mark that wasn’t there

Not there before we stood here

Each in reverie

Yes the heat is felt between us

In a flash we suddenly see

The clouds of night once blinded

Only because of its black

Now seeing in flashes brilliant

There is nothing that I lack

Though there may be so many miles

Though there may be others there

In clouds of night I shall not vanquish

Because I know we care

What a beautiful sentimental write, so many do not write with the rhyming scheme anymore, I have always loved rhyming poems that are not forced into the brackets of rhyme, it rhymes but it's not contrived or burdened to do so, it's not obvious in it...very well done!
