Certain of times

Certain of times

A Poem by Rusty

Certain of times
That Surely must be lost
Lost upon all of us
But just sometimes the sweetness remains
Like a songs refrain
And we dance in its rain
Shower me
Shower you

All alone right now
Knowing it's really not true
Though my heart would disagree
As it Screams out just to be known
Beating In my chest
Knowing the rhythm it beats is your own

Some sweet songs need no meter
Like some kisses
A little bit sweeter
Like the tears I've seen you cry
Heard the wail stuck in your voice
Considering us
Consider us

Old friends that will never be the same
No matter how far we stray
The world calls me a fool
Because my hearts a jewel
That will never be contained
No it will never be contained

But to draw your breathe into my soul
Somehow sanctifies me
It realigns me
Even if it's only a dream
The best I've ever seen
Skipping across each other's hearts like stones on a pond
They surely must go down
Go where they belong
But never going home
