exposed

exposed

A Poem by Rusty

while you flaunt your words
and receive your accolades
I shudder
seeing men like me so well

naked and alone
drinking in the poison
surrendering to the death

I smile faintly
whispering with my last lazy breath
Take me
Take me

yet I die alone

laid open for all to see
your wicked laugh
its reverie
lead me places from which
I can never return

men choose the poison and the lonely death

Robert Frost said it, We find ourselves a place apart / Behind light words that tease and flout

the moral of the story turned out to be So all who hide too well away / Must speak and tell us where they are

Choose your path. Choose light. Choose the antidote. Refuse negative energies. You have the power in your own hands.
