Politician Promises

Politician Promises

A Poem by Rusty

Politician promises
As election night draws near
Frenzied and believing
Everything I hear

Caught in a cause of emotion
I forget my own sense
As I scale my eyes right over
And reason leaves my fence

'Forget my own sense' and 'Reason leaves my fence' both are excellent metaphors (I believe), and I'm sure most of us can relate to this. Short, but gets your point across in a very ... sharp fashion. ^ . ^

True dat! I detest the politicampaignpromisetokissmybuttyouthinkiamsostupidthatiamgoingtobuythisbsohreallythatissocooliamgoingtovoteforyousir commercials which whitewash everything and speak to nothing, yet leaves us wanting to buy that new whitening tooth paste and vote for that guy while we are out buying it! Ugh! Need a shower..

I thought so too. Going out for toothpaste now.... Anyone need anything while I am out?
