Damsel

I am not one who startles easily.
Yet,
I…was.

Was gender-bent
And
Temporally tesseracted
Into celluloid,
Without audible voice.

My screaming and shrieking
Rely upon
White text
Captioned on
Matte Black,
Illuminated
In
Art-Nouveau style.

I scream,
While bound and hobbled,
Fastened to,
Argentate Rails
On Creosote Ties.

I pray for the One in White
To arrive
In Time
To vanquish that
Sinister
One in Black,
And liberate me
From the impending
Stem-spewing Juggernaut.

Grace
Has failed to
Silence
Her
Smart
Phone.

sublimely melodramatic with a snappy little twist at the end...I love it
