Out into the Darkness

She stares out the window into the darkness, thoughtless at the moment. 

Sudden flash floods of thoughts rush into her mind every now and then, and any attempts she makes to sort them out seem to tangle them up even more, and she stops thinking. The train of thoughts then loses its track leaving her puzzled and exhausted for a while, and then a state of blankness engulfs her mind.

Out into the night, the darkness has put everything out of sight. There is nothing to be seen; there is nothing to think about. Only the throbbing of the bus engine is ringing in her ears.
