A Poem by Runo N. Savel
"

The LGBT community is still fighting for civil rights in the United States.

"

Hey.

Listen.

Are you listening?

Are you there?

Are you looking out for us?

Are you making sure we’re okay?

Is there anyone there?

Why are we alone here?

Why are we different?

Why aren’t we the same?

Why can’t we be the same?

When will we be the same?

When will they all see?

When will they change?

Because, we’re not changing.

We can’t.

I like the rhythm of this poem. A lot of us are looking out for you and you don't have to change!

An inspiring piece of writing about a cause I support 100%. The final two lines are a fantastic conclusion because they show the determination behind the fight for civil rights. Never give in! Thank you for sharing :) xx
