The BottomA Poem by runningturtle87We think that avoiding problems will increase our quality of life, but still they sneak in, these problems.
Bland
Blank Blind The mind seeks out a something, but what it is we do not know until we see it with our hearts. We look with our minds, but it is invisible, ethereal, undetectably delectable. It is the unrefined awareness of the ineffable. No one can tell you what it is that scratches the itch that bends the nail and hooks our deepest experiences but we know it when it hurts so directly and so undeniably that we become unedged unhinged disabled and only then can we be forced to see with our broken hearts the lies we've told ourselves about what it is that we really feel. To be lost abandoned unforgiven abused denied broken turned inside out these are experiences from which we return with an awkward awareness. To skip life then is to miss the part where we learn how to deal with who we are. Life is how we handle what is done to us; death is thinking that we have managed to avoid life altogether. runningturtle87 © 2013 runningturtle87 |
