Days

Days

A Poem by Human in the World (Kayla)

I sit in the world, waiting for a better day.
Hoping that the next might change the fray.
Laying in bed, still waiting for the decay.
I know it's coming, but I can't stay away.
You sit there, across the way.
I watch you, waiting for the day,
When you change the dismay.
I head down the alleyway,
Sick of waiting for the day you'll turn the other way.
