Black BlazerA Poem by Alex McFadyenOh I SO am materialistic about this baby.
My beastly black blazer The physical manifestation Of man’s primal heritage Like mane and tusk And coat and tale Vivid presentation Of organic caressed light.
My spirited black blazer A dark and bold portent It, the message While speech inflects The meme is an end And men are the means It is the roadmap to dreams.
A suit of armour for the modern age Formidable woollen weave Counteracts wild attacks Reflects what is straight and true Unassailable Kevlar Willing the bullets away.
The one man army of many The buttons are little soldiers That fire jewelled bullets at susceptible targets. And just in case one of them goes MIA There are reinforcements on the sleeve.
To discredit it is to stare a shark in the mouth. © 2008 Alex McFadyenFeatured Review
