a child's questions...

a child's questions...

A Poem by Tessa
"

not what you're expecting believe me but i'm sur some can relate... tell me what you think... thanks!

"

where did all the good dreams go?
why is life so long...
what happens when the sun goes down?
What did i do so wrong?

where did all my time run to?
and why won't it come back...
what happens when you cast the line...
but you have to much slack?

How'd my life just waste away?

And why didn't I know...

Who can make it through the day,

Without a place to go?

Why god did you put me here?

And just leave me to rot?

What happens when your time is near?

but you've never been caught?

how do you just tell someone,

You don't want in your head...

tell them just to turn around,

cause they're already dead...

why do people talk to me?

just please leave me alone!

i'll never EVER let you know

my house was not a home...

all the time i ask myself,

why did daddy leave?

and everyday i wonder,

why is mommy mean to me?

i never seem to get an answer...

why am i ignored?

why do kids my age just hate me?

"Mom"

"because they're bored..."

and then she takes another hit...

third cigarette in a row...

and once again look to the sky...

"dad, why'd you have to go?"

Such bitter sadness that any child needs to question so much pain, and to have a parent leave is doubly hard, because you always wonder but never get an answer.......you have written such a sad, emotional poem..........children ask questions, it's what they do, but to ask such things, like why is mummy mean......actually hurts me...........because I have been there.
