A Story by ruth
"

Last time I saw my mother was 18 years ago...

"
I was still just a babe. 3 years old at most. She had left to go to work that morning. My grandma was given the responsibility of taking care of me. I was half asleep when she came to kiss me goodbye, both of us not knowing what was to come in the next 24 hours. After my mother left, my grandma decided to go grocery shopping. Of course she had taken me along with her. We were strapped into the car by our seatbelts as she started the car. When our trip was finished, we started to head home. I remember myself stuck at a red light and my mother's frightened face. At that moment, my grandmother had a stroke, causing us to roll forward. My mother's face came into sight as we passed through the intersection at a red light. Her head turned in our direction and that was the last thing I saw.

I dont know hoe to review this piece because if it is true then doing a review isn't the correct way to about things. So what i will say is, is that i am at a loss for words and it must have been such a harrowing experience for you - then and now.

I feel for you.

Aloha Ruth, as your story was building I became more anxious. A gripping short story, from the first few lines my mind went in all the possible directions. I enjoyed reading this. Izzy
