Dislocating my jaw to intensify the bite
A mouth filled with ash And a raw throat gargling the sludge The punitive damages I pay for my disobedience to Mother Nature The disgrace for my lacklustre efforts A poor ensemble of excuses I have collected And justifications I'd rather not commemorate However, I try now to purge my innocence And take responsibility As it is a cliché I am soon to become © 2012 Rudi Massyn |
