Right ThereA Poem by rudelizardRight there, where I dared a step further, Driven by intrigue, Alas I met murder Drawn to the plush of her lips, Supple and red, Her eyes negotiating for a kiss Unwise, and in lust, I indulge the fair dame, Who spoke a foreign tongue, As she whispered her name Left with the sting of warm breath, From her delicate words, “Mon Cheri, I hunger only for
you, I confess”
Right there, she took hold of my soul to condemn, Stoked by the fire of her gaze, Unabated, I gave way to all sin Those lips, to yet again taste, I’d face despair, Plummet to my knees, For the scent of her hair, desperate to ensnare I thrust into the lush mist of the night, Down a narrow alleyway Tangled in the mirage of her thighs Imagining the sighs, that she’ll plea in ecstasy, She indeed would get her fill, The mere thrill was killing me Right there, where I chose the lure of flesh, At the expense of life itself, I gave her my love, which she repaid me with death © 2015 rudelizardReviews
