Why

Why

A Poem by rudelizard
"

"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how" - Friedrich Nietzsche

"

Why bother to mend,

When a smile is too broken,

To you,

Was a puzzle of teeth fractured,

Why labor with words,

When everything I said,

To you,

Was like a speech backward,

Why not remove my limbs,

When they failed me,

To you,

Was nothing left to reach after.

Why lift a stone to seek warmth,

When I obliged all I had,

To you,

Was a reason for sweet laughter,

Why not join you in hell,

When my purpose to live,

To you,

Was a reason to bleed faster.

Damn, powerful piece. Your wording is excellent. The flow gives it strength, until you deliver the final blow with that last line. Good job.

Thank you my friend. Your kind words are always appreciated!
Wow. Powerful words, the answers to which are deafening in their silence. The ending is brilliant. Nice one.
