Pardon

Pardon

A Poem by rudelizard
"

The weak can never forgive, forgiveness is an attribute of the strong - Ghandi

"

Don’t beg of me pardon,

For I am all but disturbed;

A lavish poor fool,

Taunting the blade at my neck.

Cursed, as I appear,

May there be bliss in contempt,

 A bounty of scraps,

Gently refined for my arid fraught veins;

Don’t pity my woes,

Cravenly insult if you must dare,

We shall both lay out our crimson,

To angels amid a drought;

Were it not for my torment,

Affection perhaps would unveil.

We can likely debate,

How malice,

While hounding its prey,

Leaves hearts fossilized,

Merely to rest stifled in the chest;

As deceit emits in each pulse,

 Lie concealed I ought to suggest,

Just,

Don’t beg of me pardon,

For I am nothing, if not disturbed.

Very impressive. Flows well (like I always say when it comes to your writing) and very good vocabulary (as always). Makes me feel like I'm the one who's been malicious and cruel, yet dare to beg for forgiveness when it is not deserved; that kind of portrayal of a purpose is quite hard to accomplish, especially with the flare you do, but like always, you manage.

The darkness in this piece is beautiful. It speaks to the very soul and the words you use allow me to picture what is occurring. Very well written Rude Lizard!
