Crossroad

Crossroad

A Poem by Ruby Moon

Standing at a crossroad is scary

Not knowing for sure

Where each road will bring you

Despite knowing this,

because of knowing this…

I refuse to offer my hand to you

Each side branches out into

Infinite Possibilities…

Would not, will not

limit you and clip your wings

The road you pick,

will be the one you have to live with

Will not, can not

help you pick

Chose one and walk…

walk till the end…

Hold your head high

with no regrets

Wow this line..."Each side branches out into Infinite Possibilities". I want to write short but loudly spoken poetry. This piece is so powerful yet spoken with such simplicity. Amazing Amazing! keep writing. Add me to your fan list.

You have described the journey of Life so well and offered up the perfect advice.

This is surely very philosophical and got a great idea of symbolism in it...
You are really going very mature as a writer day by day...
This also somehow reminded me of that poem "The road not taken" But when I came at the end of this piece I found it really very different from the idea of that poetry.
But this is really great...I mean..hey! I got such a great poet in my list! :D
