Temple of Ruin

Temple of Ruin

A Poem by Ruby Moon

I can see the traces of a former glory in your ruins.

I came in and I’ve knelt at your altars. Worshipped

…and felt the touch of grace and madness upon me.

There is beauty there, a different sort of beauty.

It is the beauty of damnation and ruin.

The beauty

                         flight

               of the

                              after

                                      jumping

             off a cliff…

                         right

                          before

                            the fall.
