Ugly Spider

Ugly Spider

A Poem by rubydreamer
"

I felt guilty one day when I squished a spider. This is what came of it.

"

'Cross ready hands a spider crawls;
soon she falls, subject to death
by her own ugliness.

But is she ugly? Surely not!
O beauty, rot! Illusion,
Luring our eyes to blind!

Rest sweetly, o ugly spider,
Open wider, my dark heart;
For ugliness I dream.
