The Key to the Infinite

The Key to the Infinite

A Poem by rubydreamer

If I gave you the key to the Infinite
Could you face what's in it?
Or would your mortality bind you
In the light of truth?

You want ignorance to be blissful
But you're longing and wishful
On your knees, wanting all the answers
You're not ready to have.

Friend to friend, I say don't worry;
Why do you feel the need to hurry?
There's a world to live in out there -
To discover slowly.

The key to the Infinite
And all that is in it
Is a calm, rhythmic heartbeat
That loves the life we're given.
