day 2

day 2

A Poem by melancholy

and as our hands

touched

and his warmth

radiated on me

i couldnt help

but have a thought

of hope

of madness

that maybe

the lie called love

held hidden parts

of truth

Ah, the narrator from Day 1 returns. And they think they might have found love, in such a way as to think, to hope, for just a moment, that it might be something real and wonderful. The tentativeness in this is really apparent. It shows that the narrator wants to believe, they want love to be real, and they want to experience it. They're just afraid they're only fooling themselves, as their past has taught them otherwise.

Another strong piece.

Interesting poem you have here. They style remains of day one, but I believe that the thoughts in the poem flow better. The word choice and crafting remain unique with some personal flavoring. I do admire brevity (a few words can create a large crater).
