Neverending LoveA Poem by ShelbyLanaiSomething I wrote for a guy i am deeply in love with
Falling deeper everyday
Trust has nothing to do with it Feeling my heart beat faster Blood colliding with my skin Slicing pain Like a cut doused with alcohol He is like a drug that I can't quit Spiraling out of control His touch, gentle like air Hungry like a rabid animal He was my life, then my death Loved like the summer sun Grazing the grass in bare feet Toes tickled by the tendrils of hope Purple dresses and black tuxes It killed me, losing ground with him He was my life, then my death Strong and willing Taken down by the narcotics Drugs are his only love I'm left in the dirt, face down in tears Singing louder, screaming harder Running with no guidence Walking with no intention Life is dead, hope is gone Love striked had and fast Living to be one day at last The loving arms envelope me again Until then, C'est la vie, my Mochie © 2009 ShelbyLanaiReviews
