Conversations With My Dad

Conversations With My Dad

A Poem by rubie
"

Missing him every day...

Conversations With My Dad

You were there when I was born

And you let me live my own life

You were there when I stumbled

And you let me pick myself up

You were there when I laughed

And you laughed with me

You were there when I cried

And you held me until the tears stopped

Such were our conversations

While you walked the earth

And now you are gone

But yet

I know you are still here

My mind still talks to you

My heart still looks for you

And my soul knows you are at peace

I never had these moments with my father and it touches me so that you have. Such beautiful words you have expressed in loving memory,Rubie

Thank you so much, lynn. Yes, I do find comfort in fond memories of my father
such beautiful words to capture moments between father and daughter while reminding those of us who have lost our fathers that the lessons they teach are with us always...gorgeous penning, my friend
