ChangesA Poem by rubieChanges
Each time
life takes a sudden turn, veering
north or south, left or right lifting
me up only to set me down
in some
new and different place
I feel
the child I was so long ago
holding
his breath in anticipation of
that
very first roller coaster drop
It no
longer scares me anymore to change I just ride
the towering waves of discovery shift
direction in mid sentence or explore
the virgin trails that unfold
blazing new vistas at every turn
So when I
awoke that day to find
that the destiny had left you patiently
waiting on my doorstep with your
bright and shining smile and eyes that
laughed at the dark of night I opened
the rusty door to my heart and invited
you to dance through my dreams
How was I
to know that you were the lost
chord in my life's symphony a magical
sprite that would kindle my flame and turn
my journey into a victory celebration
Now I
thank all faces of the great mysteries for
allowing me the gift of your presence giving me
the courage to choose life yet again and
blessing me with your love © 2015 rubieReviews
