Bittersweet

Bittersweet

A Poem by rubie

styrofoam heart

dark roast dreams

filled to the brim

emotions brewing

sweetened by your kiss

and lightened by your voice

let me savor you

until there’s nothing left

but the ground

One hell of the most lovable tapestry it is!

Beautiful choice of words (as always you come up with). Liked the foremost starting of the write that's well embarked with such words: "styrofoam heart". How ecstatic it is to a reader to read what a write bleeds in! Proper pattern, manifested words, Unfathomable kisses & the taste of emotions. Everything's well pen'd up across the page. Short. simple... yet thought provokingly phenomenal. Excellent work!

".. emotions brewing... sweetened by your kiss... " Strong words. There's surely a love hidden behind your words... which hustled you to write this piece. So deep. Heartfelt. Magnificent. soft. Touching. Melt-down... & seemed a bit light-heated (wt. lifting) as well. Sometimes, there's a pleasure in bittersweet love so, sometimes... there's bittersweet-ness even in love. Nice imagery you've come up with. Well done!

Now, I'm really excited...you love coffee, too! And FT is already a friend, mine too! How wonderful to feel this delighted in cyberspace!

I love everything about this...the small font is gorgeous, and allows your words to speak volumes. It's masterfully written, and there's nothing you could have done to make it read ANY better! As soon as I am able to "save to my library", I will...seems as though the WC gremlins have me in their mitts right now, but I'll return!

Take care, Rubie!

Looking forward to your return.
Thank you for the wonderful review....
the sense that one fills the heart... a sweet kiss stirred into the mix... sipping from that cup until there is nothing but the ground... this is how love snares us, stirs us, and leaves us. A 'bittersweet' brew, Rubie!

As a lover of coffee I completely relate to this. I enjoyed. "Good to the last drop".

Thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed the write. Appreciate your words....
Found the idea of comparing the experience to brewing a cup of coffee very intriguing.

"let me savor you

until there's nothing left

but the ground"

Trying to cling to someone and enjoy their presence as much as possible before they leave: one of the most wonderfully awful experiences someone can go through.
