Liked the ending of the piece... how strong and intriguing words you do use to shape your art. Quite interesting! Seemed, the love's no longer for sale so if someone comes back at you to return you the figments of love, it becomes your priority to not to accept it anymore, cause.. till then, your heart becomes anew pottery of flesh that wishes no longer to take un-necessary things back. Excellent work!

Thanks for the review. So glad you enjoyed this piece.
Appreciate the kind words.
I love everything about this piece (the title, the questions, the image of a gift within a gift, the suggestion of taking one's wares elsewhere, and the firm hand) except the deceit that leaves us bitter. The last line is one I wish I had written and forwarded to a certain someone, way back when. Looks like you need to go on a shopping spree, Rubie!

Excellent metaphor here. How sad it is that we second guess relationships when they go south. Truth is, we were too wrapped up in the passion and emotion at first to see the red flags. No returns without a receipt....great concept! Lydi**

Many struggle with rejection, so it's nice to see one handling it so resolutely.

the pain here is tangible and in the ending you break through with an incredible bit of strength. they say love and depression are an artists best friends and when you have both... you've created something beautiful. great work!
