Rubie, your opening couldn't have been more inviting, or passionate. I think that's the consistant thread that runs through my poetry, as well. What is love, our life, without it?
So wonderful to meet you, by the way!
My best,
Kelly

I can also see a lot of commonality in our writing. And you are so right about love. There's a reason that poets have written about it for centuries.....
I loved this. The eroticism, honest and naive in its manner. I caught my breath. I have much more to say.
I have read much of your work here, once I read the first. I just stumbled upon it. You are fierce in love deserted and in your heart betrayed. No poor me, the pain cuts you, but the wound that is opened, you share. In loss you strengthen, like a furious storm cutting and crashing across the Gulf.
The passion, the passion. It feels like it could switch from a rage of betrayal to complete and unconditional love, and back again, on a dime.
You, my dear poet, are quite facile when enticing, enchanting, when you offer up love. Then comes the writing hard and unyielding and glorious of spite. You are courage bound within anger when you are betrayed. Your heart is forged crystal; its harshness you share while in the guise of an accomplished muse. Brilliant, every phrase. Brilliant.

I am quite taken aback by your too-generous praise. Moreover, your assessment of me is spot-on. I am a hopeless romantic. I do write from the gut, refuse to feel sorry for myself, and know, all too well, the feeling of betrayal, unrequited love, and that ache of passion deep in my soul. After what you've said here, "thank you" just doesn't seem adequate, and almost trite. Nonetheless, thank you anyway.

Thank you for sharing, thanks for rocking my world a bit, shaking it up for me. Cheers!
This poem makes me feel again! We all feel so isolated when feelings are not mutual. We lay our fragile bodies upon the bed, and wonder what we are doing wrong. We get so overwhelmed in heart break that we forget how to function. At some points, we do know how to handle the lack of love. In contrast, you might find yourself in a Catch-22; hating and loving love :)
Smile, Rubie.
You are a beautiful poet!

This one leaves me with a sigh due to the beautiful alliteration. I am a sucker for a poem with seamless alliteration. It is one thing I always look for in poetry. You remind me of a mutual friend of ours in that you always provide a perfect ending to your pieces!
