Sea of Life

Just a feeling of wanting to seek out where I am right now in my life

Lost in this sea of life, no anchor to hold me back

Raising the sails, just take me away

I have been just drifting in calm waters

Watching the waves carry me away

What is my purpose in life?

I have asked myself a thousand times

Am I searching for some far away adventure?

Am I running away to leave some distance memory

Seeing the shoreline in the distance

No compass to guide me, no lighthouse to bring me back

Awaking to storm clouds gathering

Praying for rain,

But only wind, thunder and lighting 

Waves crash over the bow, as the keel cuts like a knife

I let loose of the tiller, was I ever really in control?

Quickly shifting from the past to the future

Learning to release the fear of control

I find a place to surrender, let go of the oars

Let the winds of change guide me

As my path takes me to new shores
