Revenge

Revenge

A Poem by Rikita Singleton
"

This poem was inspired by one of my favorite stories The Cask of Amontillado

"
In a story called Cask of Amontillado
there is a person named Fortunado
he made the mistake of insulting someone
so he never knew after that he was done
he made the mistake of trusting someone for asking him to taste some wine
but he did not know that was the mistake of all time
he drank and drank until he got drunk and crazy
he also got a little hazy
with his friend he went down to the cellar that looked like a tomb
what he did not know that is when he will be doomed
his friend turned out to be his enemy
but he never figured it out because it was like he was on ecstasy
si Fortunado got chained and locked up
he should know that his time on this earth was up
he calls out "it's a joke", and says "ha ha"
while the person says bu-bye
he screams and screams but no one can hear him
while the guy is screaming right back at him
Amontillado walls away while Fortunado screams
nobody saw or heard him as it would seem
so that is the story of Forutunado
no lie, no joke
also to add a little henge
he never should have insulted the guy who got his

That was beautifully written Rikita, I confess I have not read this story but your poem has given me a glimpse. I really enjoyed it.
