Lamentations

For Tovli's 10/40 word poem contest

 

Lamentations breaking from my throat,

Woe's unpolished pitch through cold world floats.

This alphabet of anguish has branded

Heart fat with grief and on deaf ears landed.

From vantage of soul scarped by sorrow,

I dry my tears until tomorrow.
