Condolence for a friend

The human spirit is resilient, with a huge capacity to heal if we allow contentment a path home

 

Cut by fickle love,

     undefeated, just delayed,

          contentment finds home.

Dear Rick,

One may succumb to a fickle thought, fleeting moment of desire, search for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but when we accept that all is part of the human spirit, and natural, we may indeed put it to rest and offer condolence to such a friend, and then allow the mind, the heart to return to the familiar as we allow such contentment garnered from such a stroll to dwell in the sanctuary of home.

This is a lovely traditional Haiku poem. I love it because it is deeper than most Haiku poetry I tend to come along...more than flowers and gardens. These can be beautiful but this one speaking of the fortitude of the human spirit is so much more unexpected and nice to come across.
