Languish

Languish

A Poem by Ileanna

I pine,
         I pine,
                 I pine,
I shed my leaves and leave my skin,
I'm left with nothing but promised sins.
I pray for rain, am met with snow,
and so I freeze down here below
where no one hears my restless pleas,
    and how I need,
                          I need,
                                   I need.
