And then I knew

And then I knew

A Poem by LittleLady

I wanted to know

what the sun on my face felt like

so I kissed you

I wanted to know

what the ocean felt like

and then you held me

I wanted to know

what secrets the stars held

so you opened your soul to me

and then I knew love

This is very whimsical and light. I think the reference to each thing give the reader a sense of where the story teller is at. I do think it would be better if you added a object your speaking of and then said it reminded you of the touch for instance.
I wanted to know what the sun on my face felt like, so I turned my face toward the light and it grazed my skin just as your lips grazed mine.

Great piece, i believe this would just round it out.
