The Other Side

You were angry, you were going ballistic,

Anger and pain invaded your sentences.

I never saw you like that...and it scared me.

I saw a side of you  didn't know you had, a darkness,

My heart cried and yearned for you to stop,

but he had gone to far.

It hurt me to see you so upset and enraged.

I know he deserved it, but did I?

Did I deserve to witness your rage?

I should have tried to help, to save

your innocence, but it's too late now.

Where is the person whom I love?
