One word.

One word is all it takes

to ruin someone's day.

It would have been a wonderful day,

until that one word.

It doesn't take much to hurt someone.

 People pretend to be steel when in reality

they are glass houses that can break easily

from the smallest stone. 

Shatter their day, shatter their world,

One word.

One word of malice, one word of frustration,

hurts more than a punch to the face.

One word of anger, one word of destruction,

 is a bullet to the heart.

Words hurt,

words break,

words destroy,

words darken,

words shatter,

Words are dangerous.

Choose your words carefully.

Words can build you up, give you hope,

But words can hurt you just like that.
