Halloween is almost here, and I don't know who I should impersonate for the night.

Halloween, when monsters come out to rule the night,

 but 

I have seen monsters and they don't look like Frankenstein, Dracula, or Wolf Man.

They look the same as everyone else.

This is because they wear a mask, and not just on Halloween.

The look nice and friendly, then they stab you in the back.

The have their pink, plastic smiles and Prada handbags,

with their heavily overdone make-up and hateful eyes,

searching for your insecurities so they can exploit it.

These monsters travel in packs and have one alpha leader,

who usually has the most vile and black heart. 

They pick at your flaws to your breaking point,

and then tear you to pieces. 

These pretty-in-pink divas can be found in many places, 

mainly high schools. If these monsters are sighted, run away 

as fast as you can. If you encounter them, do not show weakness

and pray that they find an easier victim

I like this piece, probably because I love Halloween. It has always been something in the back of my mind...a thought on how we choose this one day of the year to become someone else completely. I wonder why that is? I like your imagery and the way you brought us into the scene.
