Bright Bodies

A poem about the common thread that helps weave friendship.

a single ray

in chasm drenched in shadow

evaporates the veil

impenetrable by lightless eyes

more and more I explore

depths which before meant nothing

but with light gleaming their features

a warm silhouette shines through

expanding ray, gaining strength

with every new discovery made

until the whole place, illuminated

with brilliant familiarity, looks like

home
