New Complaint

New Complaint

A Poem by noddingoff
"

twinflame

"

When I'm upset I float to

my little space station

I cannot change this, but

hope one day to replace it

Leave me alone, orbiting cozy

around these black figures imposing

and friends overdosing

Secretive visions tainted with

Resentment, poisonous roses

I never wanted it to end this way

But karma is stubborn, she knows

Where she's going

Floating and hoping the doors

That we're closing will unlock,

Swing passionately open

Please take care of yourself

Or screw us both over

Like the Space station metaphor. It aligns itself well to the content and the need to be left alone to deal with your pain. A painful and dark poem this, coming from a deep well of sadness. Appreciated your words.

Karma is certainly stubborn, and most certainly knows where she's going. The overall tone I get from this is "If there's hell to pay, let it be fair for once." Just my personal interpretation of the work. Whether you find solace in the stars or in a safe place, I hope you find a piece of hope and grace.
Thank you for sharing this poem.
