Bittersweet LongingA Poem by MaleficentA love letter.
On this day, I miss you
On any other day, I'd echo Just like how I miss you today A feeling so intense, burning my chest as the flames shape your beautiful face At least I get to stare at it like this At least I get to remember you by missing you so much ⋄---------------✧⋆⋅♡⋅⋆✧---------------⋄ I'm so bored on this day Uneventful beside the frills and throes of my imagination, inventing a land Where I may see you without a stare A land where I can hold you without touch Where I could kiss you from afar An angel so heavenly; You might just be rivalling mine I'm so lovesick in this life The future and the past with and without you there, where I have still missed you immensely My body which aches for your closeness, carries itself with vigor, but as a husk; Bringing my soul to yours Lulling me to peaceful rest on your unique melodies, plucked by a truly golden heart That which I'll protect, to guard from afar, and nurture from within; Treasure which follows you with every step And that I may trail like a crow to a crown You, whom stick out from the rest, shining with humanity, beckon my love to you Until my heart may slip out its cage, eagerly nestling to your gentle hands instead ⋄---------------✧⋆⋅♡⋅⋆✧---------------⋄ A pain so voluntary, it's bleeding a smile on my face; A smile incomparable to the perfection of yours A bullet in your chamber to strike me, the most enamored victim you've yet to have And here I am, yapping, yet happy as a clam Ready with this feeling, which reminds me of how I'll get to see you again Light at the end of the tunnel, light at the end of this sweet sweet torture Torture, where I miss you so immeasurably --- ⛥ © 2025 MaleficentAuthor's Note
